St. Nicolas Competition in Foot Orienteering 20111st round in Winter League 2011/2012


Type of event: open competition in foot orienteering on sprint distance with defined order of control points + surprise 

Categories: M,W-10, M,W-14, M,W-18, M,W 19-, M,W 45-
Open – easy orientation, ideal for older children without family guidance and for adult beginners
RD – child with a parent/guide
“Detská” – for little children, in the event centre, “pictorial race”

Punching system: electronic SportIdent, rent of a chip: 2 EUR, in case of damage or lost: 30 EUR
For categories OPEN and RD paper cards to be used

Entry form: on line on web page: mikulas.vba.sk till 1st of December – midnight, afterwards according to the capacity of organizers

Start fees: “Detska” - pictorial race voluntary

“ St. Nicolas Surprise”: traditional amusing supplement to the foot-o race - this time “memory run”, will be specified in later information

Start 00: 11:00 am
For categories RD and OPEN: open starting time any time between 11:00 – 12:15

Price giving ceremony: around 13:00, in categories Children, MW -10, -14, OPEN and RD first three competitors will be awarded with presents, in other categories winners only will be awarded

Children race for youngest

Competitors: suitable for all children (sitting in strollers, walking, running). Children can compete on their own or accompanied by their parents. Age limit 8 years.
For older children different categories also available:
RD – child with a parent/guide
Open – easy orientation, ideal for older children without family guidance and for adult beginners

Entry form: Online registration is required for this race in order to prepare St. Nicolas presents for each competitor.
